Adventures Away From Home

This is a sign up portal for parents/guardians to sign up their young people for the fully funded Adventures Away from Home activity day.

By signing your young person up on this portal you are consenting to

  • Your young person taking part in all activities at Eaton Vale (full list available here) If there are activities you do not wish your young person to take part in, please advise us by email when you make the booking.
  • If it becomes necessary for a young person to receive emergency medical treatment and you cannot be contacted, you authorise for this to take place as deemed necessary by the medical authorities present at the time.
  • We have a legal obligation to act if we are concerned about the safety and welfare of young people who use our provision as Eaton Vale Scout and Guide Activity Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare, both physical and emotional, of every user of our centre.
  • You will need to fill in a pre-event questionnaire with your young person, which will help us determine their aims and objectives, and what they would like to get out of the day which will be emailed to you at a later date.
  • You will need to fill in a infomation form for the funders which will be emailed to you at a later date.

 

Key Information

The grants funder's objective is to foster the social and emotional development of young people.

Date: Saturday 7th March 2026 or Sunday 8th March 2026

Times: 8:45am for a 9am start, with a 5pm finish

Cost: Free - please be aware that we can only accept bookings for one date per young person.

Lunch: Pasta Bolognese. We can cater for all dietary requirements shared in advance.

 

Mobile phones

We would ask that young people do not use their mobile phones during the event. If your young person does bring a phone with them, it will need to remain in their bag for the duration of the event. Please can you ensure that young people are aware of this expectation before the start of the event. If you need to get in touch with your young person during the day, please contact the main office.
